Project Hospice Nepal
Dignity, Comfort, and Compassion in Life's Final Journey
There comes a time in every life when the journey nears its end. In that moment, what we all seek is not more days, but more meaning in the days that remain - relief from pain, dignity in care, and the warmth of human connection. Project Hospice Nepal is born from this universal human need: to ensure that no one has to suffer alone, and that every individual can be held with compassion, respect, and love until their final breath.
For over two decades, Hospice Nepal has stood by patients and families during the most vulnerable moments of life. With a small but deeply committed team, we have cared for those suffering from terminal illnesses - offering not just medical care, but emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Yet, as the need for palliative care in Nepal continues to grow, so must we.
Project Hospice Nepal is our dream to build Nepal’s first comprehensive hospice and palliative care center - a purpose-built sanctuary where those facing the end of life can find peace, and where families can find solace in knowing their loved ones are safe, seen, and surrounded by compassion.
This new facility will provide:
-
A calm, healing environment with private rooms designed for comfort and dignity
-
24/7 medical and emotional support tailored to the needs of terminally ill patients
-
Space for families to stay close, to grieve, reflect, and be supported
-
Pediatric unit for children
-
Training and education for the next generation of caregivers and medical professionals
But more than bricks and mortar, Project Hospice Nepal is about humanity. It’s about changing how our society sees end of life - not as something to fear or ignore, but as a sacred phase of life deserving of the same care, respect, and presence as birth. It’s about ensuring that people die in peace, not in pain; with dignity, not despair.
We are building more than a hospice - we are building a movement of compassion. A place where patients are not defined by their illness, but by their stories, their courage, and their enduring spirit.
This dream cannot be realized alone. We need hands to build, hearts to believe, and voices to amplify this cause. Whether you are a donor, volunteer, health professional, or someone who simply believes in the dignity of every human life - we invite you to walk this journey with us.
Join us in bringing Project Hospice Nepal to life.
